Iglesia Bautista Independiente – Update

Our little church in the center of Siguatepeque continues to see visitors almost every week. A young lady and her son, from across the street, have started coming regularly. Another family from a ways out of town comes frequently when they are in town on Sunday’s. Pray for these new folks.

Hope for Their Futures

Hopelessness is written on their faces. Today a small goal excites them, and tomorrow it’s gone.  They aren’t expected to study or achieve much, because their grandparents and their parents, were never expected to achieve much.  It is a cycle of poverty.  In-fact, only 54% of teenagers 12 to 18 (college age) will do studies of any sort. Laundry

We have only a very limited supply of water and so the women and children are doing most of the laundry at the pila.  We found that our nice washing machine uses 25 gallons of water per load of laundry, but you can do the same amount of laundry at the pila using only 5 gallons. […]

A six-day-old Joins the Crowd!

We were driving back from the capitol yesterday when we received a call from Identity Mission that DINAF Camayagua had a five day old baby that needed a temporary home. We stopped into DINAF and a couple hours later we took home a little fellow that had no name and was 6 days old.  Today […]

Working to Save Baby H

Posted on

We spent many hours and many dollars to satisfy the requirements of DINAF (Honduras Social Services) so that we can extricate Baby H from the Roman Catholic orphanage. It has taken all month to get the police reports, physicals and papers of recommendation to satisfy DINAF.  Praise the Lord we were able to turn all in with the application. […]
