Hearts are broken in ten thousand ways, for this is a heart-breaking world; and Christ is good at healing all manner of heart-breaks.”
Charles H. Spurgeon
A heart-breaking world. Read the the news for five minutes. In Honduras alone, a small country of only nine million people, heart-break is the main topic. Death. New Sickness. Missing people. Stolen goods. Pull up a Honduran news paper sometime. I can give you a 98% garentee it will start with one of these topics.
Never have I seen so much pain. And they say not all of it makes it to the news. It’s everywhere. Yet, they are hardened to it because it’s life for them. We harden to it because we see it everywhere, all the time.
One minute we seem hardened and the next it’s like, wait! That poor family, those poor parents, the heart-break people live with; things we could never imagine.
They have broken hearts emotionally, and they have broken hearts spiritually, full of sin. They are without hope. They need a healer for their souls destiny, and for their heart break today. Christ is that healer!
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
This is our Christ, our God, our Saviour. A heart healer! These people need to know there is a heart healer: Hondurans, North Americans, my neighors, your neighbors, those I meet daily, those you smile at as you pass – they all have heart-break in some way!
We know where healing for their pain is found. We have the answer for their futures. We know where hope comes from. We must point them to Christ – “who taketh away the sins of the world” and who “healeth the broken in heart,”
What a Saviour!
