VBS – La Crucita
This past week we held a Vacation Bible School in the aldea of La Crucita. La Crucita is a small town of only a few houses. Some men from our church that live there passed out the fliers and kids walked from their homes on the mountain side around. Some quite a ways. We started with 25 kids and had…
Prayer Requests
The Lord blessed 2017 and we look forward to what 2018 will hold for the ministry here in Honduras! Please continue to pray for the political situation here in Honduras. The protests are scheduled to restart on the fifth and expected to be worse then before. Above is a picture of the road from San Pedro to our town of…
A Hurting People
Hearts are broken in ten thousand ways, for this is a heart-breaking world; and Christ is good at healing all manner of heart-breaks.” Charles H. Spurgeon A heart-breaking world. Read the the news for five minutes. In Honduras alone, a small country of only nine million people, heart-break is the main topic. Death. New Sickness. Missing people. Stolen goods. Pull…
Iglesia Bautista Independiente – Update
Our little church in the center of Siguatepeque continues to see visitors almost every week. A young lady and her son, from across the street, have started coming regularly. Another family from a ways out of town comes frequently when they are in town on Sunday’s. Pray for these new folks.
A School Kitchen
This morning we were asked by the school director and colonia president in Col. Canada to help with a need for their school. This colonia in Siguatepeque is one of the poorest areas around us. The majority of the children are malnourished and lacking food to different degrees. Over 70 of the children in Canada have attended our Bible Club…
Ruben
This last week we were able to witness to Ruben, an older man in a community above Siguatepeque. We visited with him and explained the gospel from every angle. He is blinded by the devil and cannot see the light. Please pray for Ruben’s soul. “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and…
Colonia Canada – Second Quarter
Our Children’s Bible Club in Colonia Canada has finished up the second quarter. We had about 55 kids attend over the last three months. Many of whom have been very faithful in their verse memorization. Please continue to pray for these children to trust Jesus Christ.
Ministry Crusade
This past month we were able to hold a crusade here in Siguatepeque! We were blessed by the group that came from the states to help us with this week. They worked extremely hard from morning to night and over 2,500 invitations & books of Romans were passed out here in our city. We praise the Lord for their help.…
Hope for Their Futures
Hopelessness is written on their faces. Today a small goal excites them, and tomorrow it’s gone. They aren’t expected to study or achieve much, because their grandparents and their parents, were never expected to achieve much. It is a cycle of poverty. In-fact, only 54% of teenagers 12 to 18 (college age) will do studies of any sort. The ones that do continue their…
